Cold War beta privacy

Cold War is a single-player game. Your campaign, named saves and settings stay in this browser on this device. Clearing site data deletes those saves. Saves on localhost, the desktop app, or other domains do not automatically appear here.

To improve the beta, we collect anonymous usage: a random browser identifier, a random visit identifier, game mode, scenario or mission number, difficulty, faction, battle results, visible play time, build version, and error categories. We do not collect save contents, unit names, messages, email addresses, or raw error details.

Usage events are stored in Cloudflare D1 and deleted after 90 days. The private dashboard shows seven-day aggregates. These are approximate counts from browsers; they are not verified scores. Cloudflare processes network requests and transiently uses IP addresses to limit abuse; our usage database does not store IP addresses. No advertising or third-party analytics scripts are loaded.

You can turn off anonymous metrics in Settings → Gameplay → Anonymous metrics or using the menu footer. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Opting out stops future collection and removes the local identifier; previously collected events expire automatically. Gameplay works when metrics are disabled or unavailable.
